Breakfast in the garden......

When having a breakfast or lunch outside remember to keep it simple. I used this picture as inspiration for the breaksfast party I hosted yesterday. I went around to the local thrift shops and found the most charming treasures that I was able to incorporate into my table setting. Including Linens!!!!!! I was able to spend more money on the food not the decor , and everything was perfect. If you ever get a chance to host a breakfast or brunch try it. It is soooo much fun.

simple is sometimes better...........

Tomorrow I am designing a setting for a womens lunch out in a beautiful garden. I decided to use this idea I saw on a website. The succulents are so chic and perfect for spreading along the table. the table clothes are a light lavender and the potted succulents just pop!!!! When trying to create a setting that is real easy think of about using potted plants, herbs or succulents. These sweet little plants will also be used as a party favor gift for the guests.

Empty patio

Now that my house is complete and looking soooooo cute its time to work on my patio. All it has right now are 2 wicker chairs and a small table. After coming accross this really simple yet creative look, I have decided to use terra cota pots and plant lots of diffrent herbs and succulents. Of course i will not be blocking my walk way but the concept is great!!!

working with pictures......

I have decided to create an area on my daughters wall for some pictures. I love this light green color and I have decided to incorporate into the room. When looking for design ideas I have learned that diffrent textures and styles work well together. I will also be adding some soft pink frames to go along with these. I will have 5 frames total. Working with odd numbers in design always seem to work for me. Thanks to Wal mart for having affordable pieces to make my projects come to life.

organic, organic, organic........

With Earth Day in mind, there are so many diffrent ways we can help improve the planet. Using pesticide free flowers is a way you can start. This beautiful wedding bouquet is done with garden roses. Not only do look amazing but the scent is to die for. You can enhance the look by adding a bold ribbon to your monocromatic and monofloral bouquet. Check with your local florist to see options for a green wedding!

naturally inspired......

One of my favorite flower shops in L.A. is kryslyn. The designer is so creative and has the most unusual style. Her work is definetly geared to the clients who have eclectic taste. Here are 2 of her pieces she uses for weddings. If you want something beautiful and unusual you she check out her website at www.kryslyn.com . Now I am off to go on a walk and see if I can find some treasures of my own.

I wll be going to the fabric store to find fabric with floral prints that I will use as linen. I will also be going to thrift stores to find unique tea cups and saucers. So fun!!!!!!

Your Welcome

Its Friday afternoon and my bride to be just called me to thank me for eveything we did this week to allow her to be sitting at the spa with her bridesmaids enjoying her mani and pedi. We have worked with so many couples in the past who on the day before there wedding they are running around like crazy trying to get everything done. Our new service Something Borrowed is now allowing couples to just relax. In about 3 hours the couple will be sitting in a garden getting ready to enjoy some cocktails and appitizers with friends and family. This picture inspired us with the decor for today. Have a great weekend!

Love This!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was reading one of my favorite blogs today and came accross this really cool idea! A table runner made from black and white pictures. What a great idea for a wedding rehersal dinner!!!!!

The busy bride

Well its 11am and I have already made my client smile. Jaime is getting married on Saturday and was so stressed out about getting all the welcome bags to the hotel and making sure that all her guest would have them when they checked in. It was so nice hearing how calm her voice sounded when I told her they were all placed in rooms. Thanks to our new service our client will be able to enjoy the next couple of days. However, I have lots to do!!!!!
